Once upon a time, there was a dragonfly that flew over a pond.
It flew there every day, calmly.
The frogs were bathing, and the toads were hiding until nightfall.
The fireflies were sleeping.
A fox was playing ball with its friends by the shore.
Everything was in harmony until the fox accidentally let the ball slip, and it fell into the pond. All the animals in the pond stared in amazement at the ball floating in the middle of the water.
The fox approached the water and saw the dragonfly flying nearby.
"Could you please pass me the ball?" asked the fox.
"Oh, of course!" exclaimed the dragonfly.
The anisopter* flew towards the ball and grabbed it, but it was so heavy that it could barely move it.
Little by little, the animals, realizing what was happening, went over to help. The frogs came first, from the water, and a couple of orange carp from below.
Slowly but surely, they managed to bring the ball to the shore.
"Thank you all so much!" exclaimed the fox.
"You're welcome, anytime!" the pond animals replied.
The toads remained hidden, and the fireflies kept sleeping.
*The name of the dragonfly family.
